2019 Shoals Renewable Energy Symposium

Energy Alabama is partnering with the Shoals League of Women’s Voters and University of North Alabama to present the annual Renewable Energy Symposium. Join us for this day-long event. Topics include Energy Efficiency in ALabama, Building Energy Conscious Communities, Managing Your Energy & Carbon Footprint, Farmers Going Off Grid, and Renewable Energy in the Tennessee Valley. Our own Daniel Tait will be speaking on Energy Policy for Alabama.

The Shoals Renewable Energy Symposium will be held on Thursday, September 5, at Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 410 N Pine St, Florence, AL. Sign-in starts at 10:30 AM and speakers will present throughout the day until 7 PM. Attendees may attend for part or all of the day. Refreshments will be served at 12 noon and 5 PM. This event is co-hosted by the League of Women Voters of the Shoals, the UNA Center for Sustainability and Energy Alabama, Huntsville.

Presenters from TVA, Nexus Energy, Energy Alabama, ADECA, UNA and Southern Solar Systems will provide useful information on renewable energy implementation, energy conservation and current renewable energy public policy for local and State government officials, utility departments, home and business owners, farmers, educators, students and other.
